About Dolomite
Dolomite is a carbonate mineral that carries magnesium alongside calcium — the reason it is asked for where limestone alone will not do. Steelmakers use it as a flux and to protect refractory linings, glassmakers as a source of both oxides, builders as aggregate and filler, and farmers, where the soil calls for it, to correct acidity and add magnesium.

Store dry, under cover and sealed until use, clear of the ground, and rotate stock so the oldest consignment is used first. Lime reacts with atmospheric moisture and carbon dioxide, which reduces available lime over time.
